Information we collect
When you contact us through this website, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message. This website does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking, and it sets no cookies.
When you use one of our WordPress plugins, the plugin sends the content you ask it to process (for example post text or images) to our hosted AI service so it can return a result. The free tier works without an account and is identified only by a non-identifying site ID. Full detail is in each plugin’s own privacy notice linked above.
How we use information
- To respond to your enquiries and provide the services you request.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website, apps, and plugins.
- To process payments for paid plans.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
Service providers and sub-processors
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, or where required by law. Key providers include:
- Anthropic — provides the AI that powers our plugins; content submitted for processing is sent to Anthropic to generate the result.
- Render — hosts our backend (“AI Core”) service that the plugins call.
- Freemius — our merchant of record for paid plans; handles checkout, billing, and tax.
- Netlify (website hosting) and Cloudflare (DNS).
Cookies and fonts
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. It loads typefaces from Google Fonts; when your browser requests those font files, your IP address is shared with Google (Google LLC) to deliver them. No other third-party content is loaded.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email hello@thereallyusefulappcompany.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
